In return, we gain enthusiastic, dedicated colleagues who bring fresh ideas, new perspectives and a genuine desire to learn. Seeing our apprentices grow into confident professionals is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an apprenticeship employer, and it reinforces our belief that investing in people is one of the best investments any organisation can make.
We believe that apprenticeships are about far more than gaining qualifications. They are about recognising potential, building confidence and creating opportunities that can change lives.
That commitment has recently been recognised through the outstanding achievements of three young people – Sammi, Maisie and Shanice – who all have achieved a Distinction in their Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
Working in partnership with PMA Apprenticeships, each apprentice received personalised support from a dedicated Personal Learning Tutor, alongside specialist Functional Skills tutors for Maths and English where required. This collaborative approach ensured that every apprentice was supported according to their individual needs, enabling them to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to achieve their full potential.
Although each journey was unique, they all share a common theme. Through resilience, determination and the unwavering support of their families, colleagues and tutors, Sammi, Shanice and Maisie have each demonstrated what can be achieved when employers invest in people and believe in their potential.
Their stories celebrate not only academic success, but also personal growth, increased confidence and brighter futures.
PMA Apprenticeships provide an excellent opportunity for GP practices to enhance the skills and knowledge of both new and existing staff, helping to develop confident, capable and sustainable practice teams. Apprenticeships are also an effective way to recruit, nurture and retain talented individuals, creating a skilled workforce for the future.
The Government has recently announced significant changes to apprenticeship requirements, including the removal of the English and Maths qualification requirement for adult apprentices and the reduction of the minimum apprenticeship duration from 12 months to 8 months. These changes make apprenticeships even more accessible for employers and learners alike.
