Online appointments
some online appointments are bookable up to 6 weeks ahead.
Booking early will mean you are more likely to be able to see the doctor or nurse of your choice at a time most convenient to you.
Patients should be aware that they are often snapped up quickly and therefore the number of online appointments may appear limited.
Enhanced access
You can now book a GP or nurse appointment in the evening and over the weekend at a GP surgery in the Chiltern Vale Locality.
A small number of surgeries are open on different days and times to create more options for patients, particularly for those patients that find it difficult to access the surgery during core opening times.
You can obtain an extended access appointment by contacting the surgery. You may be asked some questions to check that it is the best service for your needs.
All patients will have a 15 minute booked appointment slot. If you are late it may not be possible to see you in that session and you will need a new appointment.
These appointments are available Monday to Friday, from 6:30pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 8:30am to 4pm.
Your appointment
Please make a separate appointment for each person who needs to see a doctor or nurse. Please note that only one health problem should be discussed during an appointment.
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- use the GP online system: SystmOnline
- phone us on 01582 664401 during opening times

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, we do appreciate this is not always possible. You may request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to travel. If you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling our reception on 01582 664401, before 11am.
A GP or one of our practice nurses will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and they will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable to schedule house calls appropriately. If you are calling on behalf of a friend or relative please provide the patient’s name, address, age and your telephone number.
Please do not call the surgery if you feel that the condition of your family member or friend is life threatening. If this is the case please call 999 or 111 immediately, where you will be given immediate assistance.
